Luxury in Kuala Lumpur

We spent one night in Kuala Lumpur and really fell for the city! It was authentic in a nice way, neat, easy to get around and lots of things to experience.

The view from our hotel window. Before arriving we had read that if you ever plan on living in a five star hotel, KL is a good place for it. So we did it on our own level, the three star Prescott Inn with warm shower, clean sheets and towels for 35€/3 persons/night truly felt luxorous :D

On our first night we went up to KL Tower, which we could spot from our hotel window, to see the view over the city. In the background are the twin towers.

Later to the night we might have slightly gone lost and so found ourselves on a nice arabic night market. We were the only ones who had not covered their hair,  which made us feel even more western. However it was nice to stroll around :)

The next day we started with dragon fruit juice.

Later in the afternoon we were eating again, this time in Little India. It is the time of the Indian holiday Diwali so there was a lot going on. We also walked around and did some shopping.

As can be seen here on our beautiful ankles! Here we are doing some more shopping at the central market.

In the evening we spotted a beautiful mosque.

We have become commited hard core tourists as not even a little rain stopped our sightseeing.

Later we rewarded ourselves with frozen margaritas.

And had our first western dinner on Changkat street. So good for a change!

  1. Hello Elisa, Kata and Mia,
Good to see your updates in the blog and that you are enjoying the experiences in Malaysia, too.
Not that we would check the blog every day (..three times a day..)
The four countries are all different, although in the same area. Looking from far away one doesn't see the details and nyances. Like looking into Scandinavia and Finland from, say US.
    Best regards, Jarkko
